Su práctica explora estados emocionales frágiles\, moldeados por la productividad\, el control y la autooptimización\, moviéndose entre el deseo de quedarse y el impulso de retirarse. Sus pinturas surgen de estados de suspensión donde el descanso y el agotamiento se difuminan. En lugar de enmarcar el agotamiento como un fracaso\, Song lo trata como una condición compartida.
